What therapy approaches do you use?

I work in an integrated way, drawing on a variety of evidence-based approaches to meet the needs of the person I am working with. I primarily draws on Eye Movement Desensitisation and  Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Schema Therapy (ST), whilst also integrating skills from other relevant approaches, including  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).

What are the fees?

Each face-to-face assessment session is scheduled for 55 minutes, remote sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes. The fee of 55/ 60-minute assessment and therapy sessions is £120. The fee for longer sessions are priced on a pro-rata basis.

Do you accept health insurance?

You Matter Psychology accepts BUPA, AXA, Aviva, Vitality, and WPA Health Insurance.

Do you offer sessions in person or online?

Depending on your preference, sessions can be offered face-to-face or remotely. Face-to-face sessions are offered from a therapy room at 7 Unity Street, Bristol, BS1 5HH. Remote appointments are offered via Zoom or Bilateral Base (a specialist platform for EMDR therapy).
